Yonkers is older housing on a hillside more than a glass-condo story. Southwest and Nodine Hill two-families share a party wall; a leak on one side can stain the next dining room. Getty Square and downtown walk-ups have steam or old radiators that wet the corner in winter. Garden-level and basement units along the Saw Mill or in Park Hill sit near stoop drainage and stay humid after a flood that “dried.” Finished cellars often still have carpet pad. Remediation does not legalize a cellar bedroom. Hudson-adjacent blocks add leftover storm moisture. Say two-family / walk-up / cellar and which part of the city on the form.
Ask a licensed job for: a written scope from a licensed mold assessor, the water source named, containment, removal of wet drywall/pad/insulation in bags, and clearance by someone who did not do the tear-out. Do not accept “we spray and leave.” Tenants: tell the owner in writing. We do not file.
